The Story that reminded me why i do what i do
Some sessions stay with you long after the last photo is taken. This one — this beautiful, emotional, sacred session — is one of them.
When Kennedy first inquired with me, I had a feeling. You know that feeling when someone crosses your path and you just know there's a reason? That’s how it was with her.
As we chatted, I caught a glimpse of her story. Just two days after her daughter Matilda was born, Kennedy’s husband was diagnosed with cancer. He passed away just a few months later.
I remember reading her words and immediately feeling that familiar ache in my chest. Loss to cancer is a pain I know too well. I lost my own mom when I was five. That kind of grief leaves an imprint on your soul, and it changes the way you see the world — and the way you love the people in it.
Ever since, I’ve felt this quiet pull toward others who carry that same kind of loss. Not because it’s easy, but because I getit. And if I can be someone who sees that pain and creates something beautiful in the middle of it — that means everything to me.
A Session Rooted In Love And Resilience
